    Dr. Linda Maxey O.D.

Dr. Maxey finished her professional education in 1992, graduating from Pacific University with distinction. Nearly twenty years later with extensive experience in the art of prescribing glasses and contact lenses, Dr. Maxey enjoys serving patients of all ages, but she has a particular fondness for helping children.

She created much of the family friendly environment so her children could be nearby when they were younger. The educator in her comes through as she earnestly desires patients to clearly understand their ocular conditions and making suggestions to the best form of treatment.

Away from the office, Dr. Maxey is even busier juggling the schedules of her three children – Kathryn, Kristofer, and Keenan – and keeping her husband, Dr. Ben Wong, on task.

She also enjoys dabbling in scrap booking and digital photography. When not dealing with the everyday family life, she loves watching orcas in the San Juan Islands, hiking on the numerous trails, and strolling on the beautiful beaches of the Pacific Northwest.

    Dr. Ben Wong O.D.

After graduating from Pacific University in 1990, Dr. Wong “prolonged” his education, completing a one year primary care residency in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and subsequently served as staff optometrist at Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute, a surgical co-management center, for the almost eleven years.

While stationed at the Chehalis clinic, Dr. Wong provided pre and postoperative surgical care, medical consultations, and emergency on call services for Providence Hospital. Family life was calling him so he joined Pacific Northwest Eye Care in 2002 to practice with his wife, Dr. Linda Maxey.

His sense of humor and quick wit mixed with his caring attitude generally calms even the most apprehensive of patients. He truly enjoys working with patients of all ages as well but likes listening to wisdom and experience of the older population.

When not involved with the rigors of the office, Dr. Wong enjoys cooking, playing basketball, and gardening. He shares many of the same interests as his wife, but also enjoys a variety of music, performing in several orchestras as a percussionist over the years.

Dr. Wong loves being with his family at home and experiencing the “ups and downs” of each of his children as they grow up.

    Dr. Heather Williams O.D.

Prior to graduating, Dr. Williams spent six months studying abroad at the University of Wollongong, just south of Sydney, Australia.

It was that journey which sparked her interest in travel as she spent the summer traveling through Europe before starting optometry school in Boston, Massachusetts.

While attending the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Williams was immersed in diverse clinical settings where she gained experience in treating and managing ocular and systemic diseases.

She joined Pacific Northwest Eye Care in 2009 and enjoys practicing primary eye care and the fitting of contact lenses.

Dr. Williams connects easily with others. She describes herself as organized and particular, although she is the first to laugh at herself and find the humor in most situations.

While not at the office, Dr. Williams, also an avid reader and dog lover, enjoys photography and Syracuse University basketball. In addition, she is constantly in search of her next travel destination!
